FAQ

How long have you been working as a wedding photographer?

For more than 10 years. I photographed my first wedding the summer of 2006. Since then I've been photographing weddings as a side business while working as a full-time staff photographer for a daily newspaper. I recently left my newspaper job though to focus more on my wedding and portrait photography.

What's your photography style?

Photojournalistic with an artistic flair. Capturing candid, authentic moments and details that tell the whole story of your wedding day is what I love to do.

When will I receive my wedding images?

About 6 to 8 weeks after the wedding. You'll get a sneak peek though within a couple of days. I usually post a few images to Facebook and/or Instagram for you to share with family and friends. I'll also share a blog post with a bigger preview about a week after the wedding.

Will I get digital copies of the images and printing rights?

Yes, high-res digital images will be delivered via a password-protected online proofing gallery, where you can view, download and share your images. A photo release form will be provided so that you can have prints made wherever you choose. However, I recommend using a high-quality print lab for the best results. I would be happy to provide recommendations.

How much do you charge?

I'm currently offering packages that range from $1,850 to $2,700, depending on the length of coverage and the products offered. If you don't see a package that's right for you, I'm open to creating a custom package that fits your needs. Travel fees may apply if the wedding is outside the greater Portland, Salem, Eugene metro areas. If you'd like a complete pricing guide with package details, please send an email to danielle@daniellepetersonphotography.com. All packages include a password-protected online proofing gallery (where clients can view & download their images) and printing rights. Select packages include an engagement photo session.

Will you have an assistant or 'second shooter?'

I usually work with an assistant. Depending on the package and length of coverage, I may have a "second shooter."

Do you shoot in RAW format?

Yes, all images are shot in RAW and edited in Lightroom and Photoshop.

How many images will I receive?

That depends on several factors, including the size of the wedding and length of coverage. Clients typically receive 300+ images.

Do you photograph destination weddings/elopements?

Yes, I love to travel! Packages and prices vary, depending on travel and other factors. Please contact me via email so I can learn more about your destination wedding or elopement and craft a custom package that meets your needs.
