Bride and groom wedding portraits

Jenny & Ron's Zenith Vineyard wedding

Jenny & Ron's Zenith Vineyard wedding was a lovely spring celebration in Oregon's wine country. Grape vines and sweeping views of the Willamette Valley made the ideal backdrop for their ceremony and cocktail hour on the venue's expansive lawn.

Their first look took place on the edge of the vineyard, on a hill anchored by a large oak tree. Seeing the look on Ron's face as he turned around to see his soon-to-be bride was one of my favorite moments of the day. After they had time to soak it all in, we took pictures in the vineyard and on the lawn, followed by all the group portraits that could be done prior to the ceremony.

As part of their Christian wedding ceremony, the couple washed each other's feet. It was a meaningful display of their devotion to one another.

We carved out time during the reception for golden hour portraits in the vineyard. I always recommend sneaking away from the reception to catch this window of magical light (on a clear day), when possible. The bride and groom often feel the most relaxed. All the stressful parts of the day are over, they've had a couple glasses of wine and the rest of the evening is all about dancing and socializing with all their favorite people.

About the venue

Zenith is a classic wedding venue with a spacious light-filled bridal suite, an elegant 5,000 square-foot ballroom with soaring 20-foot ceilings and a wood burning fireplace, manicured grounds with endless photo opportunities and a regal fountain that greets guests at the entrance. It's located in Oregon's famed Eola-Amity Hills.
