Does your dog feel like part of the family? Don’t leave them out when it comes time for family photos (or an engagement session). Check out this blog post with some of my favorite pet-friendly portraits and a few helpful tips.

A few things to consider:

Bring some treats and/or toys that can be used to get their attention, when the time comes.

If possible, bring along a friend/dog sitter who can keep them busy between photos. Chances are you won’t want your furry companion in every single shot. This will keep your dog happy and make things less stressful for you.

Make sure the venue you’ve chosen is dog-friendly. If so, do they have to stay on a leash? This may seem obvious, but it’s always good to know before you go. I’m always happy to provide location suggestions.
